This 5,500-square-foot home along Buffalo Bayou needed a complete interior refresh after Hurricane Harvey. While a stylistic departure from previous projects, the home’s bucolic bayou setting provided a welcome opportunity to embrace modern biophilic design. The curated palette of high-contrast neutrals complements the surrounding views of the bayou oasis, while varied textures speak to the organic nature of the surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for abundant natural light and allow nature beyond to soften the modern, linear elements of the home’s main living spaces and kitchen.
